Like Rondo of blood They actually went and translated the menu textures and the tutorial/ending, but the subtitles are still in Japanese. It was a weird amount of effort that was only ever seen again when Sega translated Monster World 4.

Wonder Boy Returns is trash and should not be confused with Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap which is an incredible looking remake (transfar your save to and from the Master System game!) There's also Monster Boy in the Cursed Kingdom, which looks alright.

Some people find the controller more comfortable, some want to play it on the couch, others don't have a good enough PC (PS4 version is really well optimized while back then my X6/660 couldn't even hit 30fps most of the time).
