The Main Event Sleeper, you’ll wake up on heat. Triple H being the least secure main eventer in history has had long term consequences in terms of only a tiny list of people being allowed to get over. Look at the desolation of the early 2000s. The dearth of main event wrestlers is still being felt today.

Imagine your hero being 16-time world champion Ric Flair and not realizing he only won about 16 matches.

I genuinely appreciate that clarification. I'd always thought Dave was just kind of being a jerk about the Dog.

It's always interesting to hear people talk about their training school experiences. Foley learned a lot from Dominic DeNucci. Jericho learned from whomever the Not Actually The Hart Brothers got to train people at their school, also guided by Stu Hart's notes. According to HHH (in Chyna's book), Killer Kowalski mostly slept in his office and everybody learned things via osmosis. I wonder what it was like for people who went to, say, the Wild Samoans or Harley's schools.

Any time Tatanka shows up was also pretty cringe.

There's some Australian footage of him, too, but the locals were rarely pushed until after the territory was sold/burned out, so it's not the same.
