Getting a third-party perspective on your issues from someone who is at least somewhat impartial & non judgemental is a good thing. Being able to tell them things you can't tell anyone else is nice too. It's not a panacea but everyone I know irl who sees one agrees that they're helpful, if not necessarily worth the money
