What is up with people who think ignoring the accumulated knowledge that’s easily available to them is somehow noble? Boating down the Mississippi has a certain appeal to it certainly, and as a result there are volumes of books on how it’s done. Eventually (if climate change doesn't throw everything off), those less developed countries will develop, birth rates will go down, and they will stop being a source of immigrants for rich countries not having children. That's decades to figure out how to bump the birth rate a few tenths of a percentage point in most of those countries so they're at or just barely over replacement. That's the only sustainable target anyway.
