There was a Hollywood Video going out of business nearby, so I went there and bought something like 20 DVDs. They are all still in their cellophane wrappers. I don't even consider DVDs I own to be watchable movies anymore, if I cannot stream it then it cannot be watched. I think my only DVD player is an Xbox 360. A cut/style plus wash and blowout took me a bit over an hour, and I have long, thick hair.

I went to a boygenius concert, and it was great. I wish we had more 28 year olds in political office and less decrepit septua/octo/nonagenarians who prize power so much they cling to it long past the point where they can effectively wield it and die in office rather than suggest their positions are anything but their personal possessions.

I’m watching The L Word right now and I think it just may have cracked my egg if I watched it 20 years ago. Virtually every queer woman I know has seen it, including my hairdresser, who told me she used to style her hair like Shane’s (which…I would be surprised if she didn’t, honestly.) Anyway, that’s what I do instead of keeping precise tabs on when they’re going to go full fash in DC.

I'm a fancy bitch: I drink loose leaf tea. I got three little strainers and a cabinet of loose leaf teas, most of which sits there while I drink through 1lb. bag after 1lb. bag of lapsang souchong. Pine smoked black tea from China, it's my poison. I think the first beer I ever had was a Yuengling. I loving love beer, even though I can't drink anything like I used to.

But not going back to that well, I like her much better as a friend and she would probably have to leave after a few hours (she has some serious health problems) and then I would have to drive her home because she doesn't have a car. Guess I'm just not on the same wavelength and never will be.

If I ever own a home, I want my property to be full of berries. Preferably non-invasive ones, of course, but berries are the best. ....on second thought, maybe I'll just keep the invasive fuckers in pots. This is probably more work than I imagine, but the idea of just being able to go out into my yard and get food from it sounds a million times better than just a plain of grass.

I deleted my Twitter back in March. I had just been dumped and realized Twitter was a garbage e-drama/doom factory and that it was having a negative effect on my already badly-wounded psyche. And that it would probably just get worse. I miss some of the trans women I followed, but that’s about it.

I still have never gotten a proper mani-pedi. Just poor and paying for a high-quality haircut from a rad goth dyke seems like a higher priority for the very limited amount of money I have to spend on things that aren't student loans, gas, car insurance, food, clothing, booze, and tea. Manoueverable posted:The DKC games had similar compression problems as well, I think a couple of youtube channels went out of their way to recreate the tracks with the original synthesizers and they sound so, so much clearer. Other than wall-jumping being completely awful and Samus feeling a bit floaty, I think Super Metroid holds up extremely well.
