looks like a key bit of this is the long strings hanging from each balloon, so don't forget that when assembling your anti-drone armada!

South Koreans lock themselves up to escape prison of daily life

quote:

HONGCHEON, South Korea (Reuters) - For most people, prison is a place to escape from. For South Koreans in need of a break from the demands of everyday life, a day in a faux jail is the escape.

“This prison gives me a sense of freedom,” said Park Hye-ri, a 28-year-old office worker who paid $90 to spend 24 hours locked up in a mock prison.

Since 2013, the “Prison Inside Me” facility in northeast Hongcheon has hosted more than 2,000 inmates, many of them stressed office workers and students seeking relief from South Korea’s demanding work and academic culture.

The system is used to make decisions about who should be assigned to do work.

Your insurance nopes out and pays maybe 10% (or nothing) and then you get to squabble over how much you're actually willing/able to pay for the next few months/years. Presumably they have an extremely robust billing/collections department.

all of these Silicon Valley guys are control freaks who refuse to accept the fact that they’re eventually going to get old and die

the bulletproof coffee guy has wasted over a million dollars on pure quackery in the foolish quest to live to 180 years old. he obviously has some sort of hypochondria or health anxiety (hello self-diagnosed fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic Lyme!) but since he also has tech money and connections he turned that into a lucrative business selling other medically illiterate tech people snake oil like “toxin-free” coffee with butter in it and nootropics that give you diarrhea

and of course you have Thiel and his ghoulish unscientific idea that infusions of teen blood keeps you young forever
