This is the same tired old attitude that leads to "opiod addicts just need to stop using" "fatness is 100% a personal failing" "abuse victims should just leave" "lol, who spends their life savings on a gacha game" and "well they should have known it was a scam"

When you've got companies or individuals spending decent chunks of money trying to find the best ways to get money out of people, not caring how much it could potentially impact their lives for the worse, the solution isn't to just sit back and allow it to happen so you can feel superior.

In your case, so you're completely fine with casinos engaging in predatory practices because they're not affecting the locals, just people you don't know? As someone who has spent time trying to help migrant workers dealing with large companies, that goes some loving fun places very quickly. I'd also doubt that being a Nevada local grants some sort of magic immunity to gambling problems.

YouTube, all social media, is about trying to get you to spend as much time as possible either interacting with it, or thinking about it, to a mentally unhealthy degree because that's where the money is for them, the fact that some people are more susceptible to that is not a failing of them as an individual.

The good-

Renaissance Periodization
Super focused looks into tons of movements and programs by a professor and bodybuilding coach. Excellent, evidence based work.
Watch it before Mike's mouth gets him cancelled.

Jeff Nippard
Again, evidence based approach. His minimalist training routine was a godsend when my daughter was young and sleep was a luxury. Also some good nutritional advice.

Shredded sports science
Watch his older vids, he made lots of high end stuff on supplements and their various claims then, having said everything he wanted to, stepped back and now basically just released a video every month or so dunking on fitness influencers.

The ok-
Alexander Bromley
Has a powerlifting focus, advice that seems to work for me. Has some hot takes on science based approaches.

Trainer winnie
Good beginner advice, also weird hangups on science, dude literally calls the worst exercises for a given muscle "science based" in his rankings.

Alan Thrall
Dude who owns a gym, has kids but still wants to be strong and fit. Some people don't trust him because he admits in his earlier stuff he had no idea what he was doing. I say that being able to admit you're wrong puts him in the top 90% of youtubers.

In games where you get gear and want to keep to a certain fantasy it absolutely should have a transmog system. Rise of the Ronin you can make a wide variety of outfits that work well within the setting.

I played a ton of CRPG but I just never could wrap my head around any of the math or systems. There was a brief window where I completely understood THAC0 and could explain it to another human being and not thac0 freaks but I'm just thankful that automation exist in those games. As I got older and more socially aware I started to see the clinks in the armor and how problematic or downright lovely the systems were (or could be) and not just the inherently evil race thing, which is pretty self-explanatory as to why this is awful. For example, stats: beyond the mechanical "why does it go up to 20 when every other number does nothing" or in AD&D where it's worthless to stop at 14 because 10-14 you get nothing in terms of worthwhile bonuses except few extra pounds of carry weight I never like the idea of measuring intelligence or any other attribute.

Just to use an example. I never liked that 10 was super genius savant and 0 was "stupid". It puts people into categories and when you do that it can be used as a means to discriminate. If you wanted to roleplay someone slow on the uptake or however you want to phrase it, it should be just that, roleplay and not determined by an arbitrary number. Even armchair designer ideas I have to make it less problematic are still problematic. A person with the lowest stats are no less of a person or heroic than someone with the highest but the systems are designed such that it makes that so. I understand all this mechanically but I still feel like it reinforces a toxic and conservative mindset.

I've always loved how min-maxing is usually the only optimal way to interact with this kind of system, then you look at the real world and it's the complete opposite.

Look at how many top athletes also have a huge knowledge around sports science, nutrition, mental health management. Idiots should have just dumped it all into strength or endurance.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSrGsPXv_Cw

I think he's hit that issue all niche youtubers get to.

He's delivered basically all the info he needs on the topic. If you want training plans, nutrition, how to do exercises, it's all in the back catalog. So what do you do now? If there's not really any new info to deliver, then you have to make it about the person delivering it. He's cringe as hell yes, but it also seems to be working, Dr Mike shows up loving everywhere, and he's usually way more toned down and serious on other people's channels, closer to what he was like in his older videos, so it's clearly a deliberate choice to present like that.

Like shredded sports science, that dude has some of the absolute best vids about supplements and the evidence behind them, but once he'd covered them all he basically just said he was done and now spends his time dunking on social media videos.
