Working on NYD does suck but time and a half plus it being slow is ok with me. My resolution is to post more in the chat thread this year than last.

I've got to lose weight, I'm way too fat and it's just depressing if I'm being honest. So going to try and change my diet and do some weightlifting as I have weights at home to try and make 2021 better than 2020

How much do you use your tv and what do you use it for? I picked up a 55" LG CX Oled and I wish I had the money to make every tv in my house an Oled. But I play a lot of games so I wanted to take advantage of the new xbox. Plus I was able to get it on sale during the holidays.

Waking up with a migraine is my favorite thing in the world. Just the best, I love having my entire day be a wash before I even get out of bed.

I have real bad case of TMJ so while not a migraine I understand completely about an entire day being wasted. People don't understand that at all which is frustrating. Like I used to tell some old co-workers, it's not like I'm playing hooky and fishing or playing video games, I'm laying in bed either in pain or heavily medicated.

This is a Korean made sci-fi movie that looked like it was going to be really fun and cool. It is not. I tried watching it twice and fell asleep twice. I think it was just a little too goofy and cartoonish for my liking - think Guardians with the silliness cranked up to 11.

I just watched this a couple of days ago, I think the biggest issue is that it is just too long. You cut out 30 minutes at least and I think it's got a decent story in it. I agree with comparison of GOTG but goofier in the wrong way.

I have been having a terrible time sleeping so that just means I get to watch a bunch of shows! Watched all of the expanse, which while I may have a few gripes here or there has been entertaining. I then watched season 2 of the boys since I had been holding off on that one and really didn't enjoy it as much as season 1. I guess because of the main storyline or just the dialogue itself it all was just too fresh of what we have been putting up with in real life but that might just be me.

I think I'll watch season 2 of Mandolorian since my dad is behind Gina Carrano and doesn't want to watch it now. Still have Wandavision to watch as well.

They also switched my pain management from dilaudid to oxycodone, which surprised me, as I was under the impression that oxycodone is much more nephrotoxic than dilaudid, and my kidneys are turbofucked. They're also ramping me up on amitriptyline (or however the gently caress it's spelled); supposedly it can help with chronic pain?

Hey, whatever, at least I get to go home. Which reminds me, I had put a few pounds of ground beef in the fridge before I went to the ED ... There's some milk in the fridge, too ... God help me. :suicide:

I actually take that for my muscle based tmj. It's actually an antidepressant but they have seen that one of its side effects is muscle relaxing. So I take one at night before bedtime and besides making me a little woozy and not wanting to get up in the morning, it does its job.

VNC is a way to view the screen of other computers on your network. For example I take care of grocery stores so I'll log into their main computer using LogMeIn and then on the main pc use VNC to get into the registers.

Hello crazy mother bud :respek:

Look on the bright side. We know what not to do with our kids!

So my dad has started down this path hard the last couple of years. Like full blown crazy/conspiracy stuff. Everything with Covid and the election has just made it worse. My son thinks he is crazy to the point that he's almost told him in his face that. My brother doesn't want to go out anywhere with him just because of the crazy poo poo he says like he's being followed and everyone is out to get him. If a company vehicle passes him or if a vehicle has some words on it, that is code to him that they are telling him something. The phones are bugged etc etc.

He won't talk to anyone so medication isn't a possibility and it will be ok because Rapture is coming soon and all the wicked people will have to answer for it then. It's really sad because this changed happened within the last 5-10 years whereas when I was growing up he was a rock and someone I looked up to as inspiration. So it's been hard seeing this happen.

Happy for the rating, not thrilled to spend the time getting surprise feedback with no examples and the whole, "only critical because you've mastered these other things and this would round you out and I want to challenge you"

I hate that and honestly it is so dumb how that works. I had a performance review a while back and was told out the gate, oh I intentionally score everyone low so that there is room for improvement in the next review.

Situation for you guys and how you'd handle-

At the place I just moved I have a fenced in back yard, neighbors do as well. I obviously have Maggie and they have two dogs. Today I'm sitting outside because it's nice and working and I have Maggie with me. The neighbor has their dogs out on their deck, which is high enough to see into our yard as the fence is maybe 5ft tall. The dogs can see Maggie and are barking at her non-stop. I'm able to tone it out and have headphones in and Maggie doesn't care and is just rolling around/laying in the grass in the sun, completely ignoring them.

So the neighbor asks me to take her inside so his dogs will stop barking. He says he's never had the issue previous to us moving in and essentially that it's on us to "do the right thing"

...what?

Anytime something like this or something else that a possible neighbor wouldn't like, my response has always been pay my mortgage and I'll do whatever you want. Granted I haven't done anything to have a neighbor be made at me it's just what I would say if it came up.
