As far as I can tell there is a large group that maintains that airborne diseases don't exist at all, and there are no examples. They have to arrive at that conclusion because as soon as you compare covid to any other disease its obviously more fit at floating, dispersing, and surviving.

That news item from earlier this week about mask standards for infectious respiratory diseases changing from respirators to surgical masks is a great example. The only way to arrive at that conclusion is to assume all diseases stop at droplet transmission.

Oh sorry I forgot that the CDC and FDA are apolitical organizations that Follow The Science and that its impossible that they would change their booster recommendations just because the president told them to. So actually it won't be possible for you to get one unless you're over 60 or immune-compromised.

I have like 20 minutes before I have to leave so I clicked through and I regret doing so, I don't know if twitter has just gotten that much worse or if the dispute isn't confined to a single thread. Scrolling up and down this tweet has most of the conversation I guess.

It looks Jim Rosenthal responded to a tweet about a company selling an air filter that used the term CR-Box as part of its description, Jim Rosenthal responded by saying that CR-Box is a copyrighted term and suggested that the company donate a small portion of each sale to the Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation (which is apparently a thing). The company retorts that there is no trademark on the term and it's unpatentable. I think that's the end of it. Seems like a dick move on Rosenthal's part.

Monetizing something that is so easy to build yourself is poo poo though. Plenty of non-profits use legal force to ensure their contributions aren't abused by companies, for example, free software organizations. If you set out with a goal to make a free to use it makes sense to tell companies that try to monetize it to gently caress off.

Paxlovid works by casting the Starcraft spell stasis on the virus in your body. You have to surround it with dragoons before it unthaws. This is why there are two pills, one gives your white blood cells mana to cast stasis and the other pill contains the goons.

If you want to quit coffee just buy a pound of coffee and a pound of decaf. Then when you take a tablespoon out of the coffee, you add back in a tablespoon of the decaf and slowly dilute your full-caff. By the time you finish all of it you'll be free with no withdrawals. I did this and quit for about 6 months and then realized I'd just rather drink coffee all the time. Okay so maybe it doesn't work.
