Not sure if anyone posted this or not, but because DJT is publicly traded, they have to make certain disclosures to the SEC. All of those disclosures are conveniently listed here.

The most interesting bit that I have found so far is that Trump's legal fees doubled in 2023 compared to 2022.

Half of the US Supreme Court is devoutly Catholic (Coney-Barrett, Thomas, Kavanaugh, and Roberts.) I am sure that their faith doesn't factor into their decision making at work, right?

At any rate Catholic churches and schools are closing at a pretty good rate due to fewer people attending church.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Savita_Halappanavar

Savita had a fetus that was in the process of being miscarried. It was never going to survive to term. She started to have contractions and was in the process of being expelled. Her labor stopped, and the doctors could have removed the fetus (which was already not going to survive), but they didn't because of the ban on abortion. Savita developed an infection and died. So that was two people dead instead of one

This happened in 2012! Savita had a miscarriage and the fetus was no longer viable. Doctors refused to remove the fetus (which was already dead) because they didn't want to be prosecuted. Savita became septic and died. So instead of one person dying, it wound up being two. Afterward Ireland opened up their abortion laws to allow women to receive abortions.

Gerri Santoro passed away 60 years ago in my home state from an abortion gone wrong. Women shouldn't have to risk their lives to get the medical care they need. More people will probably die by criminalizing abortion. Rich people will be able to buy flights to places where they can get it done legally and safely. Middle class and lower income people will suffer and take the risks of having it done by someone who isn't 100% qualified.

I'm happy Biden is going after Evangelical voters. Just because you chose an old book to follow as the basis of your life doesn't mean I have to agree to your rules.

it will never stop being funny to me that so many people in the US love the NFL when it is literally the most socialist sports organisation on the planet.

All the teams are capped to an equal budget because they all share total revenue. The worst performers of the previous season get an advantage when picking players for the next season. The players have a strong union and have a socialised healthcare plan (though this needs to be much better). All fines levied against teams go to support former players.

The Football union is very weak compared to the MLB union. Fully guaranteed contracts are a rarity. The salary cap mostly helps the owners keep their costs down. NBA and MLB have salary limits, but they are soft limits and can be exceeded if the team is willing to pay a penalty. Baseball contracts are fully guaranteed as well.
