On the other hand I thought Taran Killam and Paul Brittain did an awesome job this time. Their first appearance I didn't enjoy that much, but the thought of two full sized horses punching each other to death had me cracking up pretty hard.

Same here. Embarrassed myself on public transport at the points where they were acting out the horses dying.

The weird thing is that just that day I had been thinking how that BTTF scene annoys me. If they are cousins and have the same surname, you wouldn't say your surname when you announce who you are. I think the people who got the joke would still have got it without him stating that his name is "Berry". Going too far to explain a joke or otherwise hold someone's hand is a bug bear.

The best part about these ones is that he always says it like he's about to make a good joke. But instead it's a very specific reference to a previous episode that isn't funny without context, and really isn't worth bringing up with context.

Was weird for me that Silversun Pickups were on because the band had totally passed me by, but the past month I've suddenly been listening to Lazy Eye a hell of a lot (especially this Australian cover), well over a decade after it came out. I liked that you could tell from the little references that Brian is actually a listener, and I thought the pair played along well. Though I got the feeling that Nikki wasn't joking when she asked Scott to cut out the "kill yourself" riff.

I read the highlighted screenshots in the Twitter post, and it sounded way worse than when I read the whole article (I read it for the articles, guys). I didn't see it as being so bad after that. For me, it came off as him trying to be humorous about it, and it just fell flat.
