DeAndre Hopkins had a really promising rookie year, too. Didn't have as good of a year as Allen, obviously

Panthers could do a lot worse than Lance Moore and a first round rookie as their receivers.

Lance Moore averaged 3 catches for 35 yards per game with a future HOF quarterback throwing to him this past season. How bad is your worst case scenario?

To be fair, Drew threw a lot more to Jimmy and Kenny Stills last year, but Lance Moore catches almost everything thrown to him. He'd be a great pickup for Carolina.

Very true. He has really good hands. But I guess it's a big red flag to me that someone with eight years of rapport with Drew Brees had such a significant drop off in utilization.

Really? He had one good run and not much else. And if you take out that one 51 yarder, he averaged 3.1 yards on 18 carries. And two fumbles.

Pretty good signing by the Rams. If he works out, great. If he doesn't, that's not much of a loss. Hope this doesn't stop them from drafting a WR, though.

It probably will. The Rams have drafted 6 receivers in the last 3 drafts, 5 of those 6 in the first four rounds. Tavon Austin was their 1st round pick last year, and Brian Quick was their 2nd round pick in 2012. They just can't keep missing over and over. And to some extent they need to let their guys attempt to develop.

2011 shouldn't really count since it was under the previous regime. They really need a solid #1 receiver, and unfortunately it's not going to be any of the guys they drafted. There's a chance that Kenny Britt might just finally be that guy, but it would be a shame to pass up a selection from such a deep pool of WRs in this year's draft.

2011
#78 Austin Pets
#112 Greg Salas

2012
#33 Brian Quick
#96 Chris Givens

2013
#8 Tavon Austin
#92 Stedman Bailey

Steelers signed WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, formerly of the Colts, to a one-year contract.
Heyward-Bey, the former No. 7 overall pick of the Raiders, is a case of a player whose name is far bigger than his game. DHB started the first ten games of the season for the Colts in 2013 but was finally benched and played a total of 32 offensive snaps the final four games. He caught 29 passes for 309 yards and one score in 2013 but dropped nine passes. DHB will compete for a spot.

Dunno, after Aaron Hernandez, I can understand teams staying the gently caress away when the LAPD confirms that DeSean has continuing involvement with people with gang ties. There is no good reason for DeSean Jackson to still be on the LAPD's radar in 2014.
