I played Bloodborne all week without any problems using the same router and settings, I don't know what the hell is going on. Is this just a regular PS4 thing and I have to wait it out? I just bought the PS4 recently so I don't know if this will just go away after some hours.

That code means the PS4 can't connect to the Playstation Network:

Its just weird because it was working perfectly all week, it can't just be too weak a signal or something like that. I'm also not seeing anyone else reporting this problem today, so I don't think its a PSN issue.

Where does it say to restart your router and why did you rebuild your database?

Since you say it worked all week i assume it hasn't been a problem for long.
PSN might just be slow for you/your area - happens to other websites all the time.

I meant a temporary localised problem, it happens.
You did the right thing restarting your router per the instructions. I was just confused, because the other error code basically tells you to wait for a while.

Does other online stuff work (browser/ youtube) ? - if yes, your wifi connection is fine and it probably is a PSN problem.

edit: also, can you try a wired connection?

Yea Netflix is working fine, so maybe I do just need to wait.

So, I've just tried both my american and european account on my PS4; both had problems with some PSN services. In the EU one the store wouldn't work; US couldn't connect trophies, after a couple tries trophies worked but account management threw up an error.
I'm on a wired connection, but these inconsistencies might freak your wireless out somehow.

I'm not too bothered by it, PSN is unfortunately often a bit spotty.

Since your setup worked for the last week (and Netflix works currently) it really should sort itself out.
As you said, there was a big release last week which probably means lots of people locking in the following sunday which in turn might lead to random weirdness.

Well, seems what I have to do is register the japanese account as primary to actually be able to play the game I'm looking to get, so would paying for plus on the non-primary local account work for that?

You don't register the account as primary, you register the PS4 as primary console for that account. You can have one PS4 registered as a primary for multiple acccounts. Register your PS4 as primary for all your accounts.

"Primary" just means, that when you initiate a download via the webstore from your PC it will be donwloaded to your "primary" PS4 - that's really only relevant when you have multiple PS4s.

edit: yes, that means your japanese game can use PS+ features (online gaming, cloud storage); you might have to play it from your US account though, once it is downloaded
I use an EU and US account and play all games with my EU account without problem.

Seagate publicly disclosed problems with this drive family back in 2008, so it’s not surprising that these drives have, well, problems, right?
....
One final point: at the end of the “What Drives Should You Buy” post, Beach discussed what Backblaze is buying today. Right now, their most favoured drive is the ... wait for it ... Seagate 4TB Barracuda – even though it supposedly is less reliable than the WD or Hitachi drives. Huh?

unless you get one of those Seagate and WD are basically the same reliability-wise. (Hitachi is owned by WD)

Most games will just use the language your system is set at (eg: i live in Germany but my PS4 is set to english giving me english voices/text in games).
Games in the digital store will always tell you which languages are actually available; Physical games don't seem to have that written on the packaging but a quick check at Amazon should help you there. Also: I've never had a PS3 or PS4 game without at least english language option (edit: they obviously exist, but are pretty rare).

Most games on the UK store are around £50 - 55 quid which is about $76 add in the fact that most games now have the ultimate edition etc I see games up on the "DIGITAL" store for upwards £80 which is $122 for ultimate editions etc I just get flabbergasted.

Why are digital games so loving expensive it gets to the point where most of these games really aint worth it, I used to buy rear end Creed because it was fairly fun. Now I'm only willing to put down money for decent cheap games like Life is strange or Telltale series or one in a million AAA games like MGS5 or Witcher.

AAA should only be bought on disc:

However, no matter the ship or equipment any fight mission in which the risk is at least Average I simply can't survive - the most I can manage is Drop or Delivery missions of that difficulty, since I can just grab/drop the cargo and escape. Is there some trick to combat, or do I really need to get even a better ship? Right now I'm flying the Barracuda and even that took a few hours of grinding.

Also I have three specific questions:
1) are flak turrets worth the drawback of their inability to target larger ships?
2) are the mercenaries superior to one another, or is it mostly superficial difference? And if some are superior, who?
3) generally speaking, is it better to focus on the capital ships or the escorts? No matter which I choose, the other becomes a massive problem, and the leech rockets are limited in number and duration.

Thanks in advance!
Finished the storyline a couple weeks ago:

1) no, especially since they don't target torpedoes/rockets on their own
2) later star systems will have the same characters for a higher price; those are obviously better, but I didn't notice any other differences
3) try to draw the escorts out a bit; your merc buddy can really help; use the tactics screen to focus him on fighters.

I never had much luck with leech rockets; pulse cannons + lasers worked pretty well for me.
