I wish someone made Defiance into a single player ARPG, i found the combat really fun and the bug guns were so cool  Trion had a lot of potential with that game, and Rift too, and squandered it all. At least the show was good.

Atlas Reactor seems like a pretty cool game with interesting ideas in it, so it will be a shame when modern Trion inevitably wastes all of it's potential and ruins everything. Pour one out for RIFT and Defiance I guess they didn't ruin Trove yet, so maybe they at least learned to not gently caress with the moneymakers. But I have little hope for smaller games.

Rift had a good wardrobe system. It had the annoying requirement to actually own the items, instead of unlocking skins like in GW2, but on the other hand it had no armor class restrictions and allowed to hide any equipment slot instead of just helmets/shoulders. Mixing different weight classes of armor was cool, even if most of the armor in Rift was pretty ugly.

Yeah. The initial F2P experience was really good and fair, and the game itself was pretty good too. But then everything went to poo poo Trion seems to like to take promising things and gently caress them up. I think the only game they currently have that's still doing well is Trove, unless they hosed it up too since the last time I heard about it.

The Stormblood woes sound pretty funny but I don't think that a bad expansion launch in an otherwise okay game is comparable to the disaster that is Wildstar It's still funny though

I think that it's dishonest to be okay with people posting long lists of claims about a game but mocking people who are responding to those claims with counterarguments i haven't played gw2 in two years or so, so for all I know maybe the situation really is as bad as claimed, but RVs post didn't seems like it deserves being called Arenanet apologism I mean, this is the wildstar thread, anyone regular here should know how that looks like, especially if you saw the prerelease discussion
