I think it is fair of Tlaib to vote present on a bullshit bill with lots of boilerplate anti-racism language stapled to some atrocious doublethink, I mean she'll take a tremendous amount of heat just for that. The other 432 can go to hell. The lone No (Republican) just has the moderate lib take from 5 years ago: https://twitter.com/RepThomasMassie/status/1729656551596564812

The board didn't have the guts to openly can her so they just kept her on until the narrative passed a little bit. Reading between the lines of her resignation letter it is very obvious she was made to resign and is only not making a bigger protest because they've agreed to return her to faculty.

The ISIS statement is a little suspect in that they are claiming the bombings were done by two agents wearing explosives, the Iranian reports were of two remotely detonated large bags. The number of deaths is way higher then most any suicide vest attack in history.

What are these ballistic missiles being deployed that seemingly, in this case, don't pack a lot of punch? Are the insurance underwriters who evaluate shipping routes really going to look at that video and say "seems fine"?

Egypt which is also a leal US proxy also has a land border with Gaza, but the U.S. can't just send in aid relief that way because the Israelis told Egypt they can't and the U.S. sent the CIA director to strongarm Egypt into complying.

You'll be able to tell if this was a colossal gently caress up or the deliberate murder of aid workers entirely by if it results in more or less food coming into Gaza. Sure seems like Israel got exactly what it wanted and will suffer about as much consequences as they did for the other 200 aid workers they killed.Stereotype posted:Israel intentionally murdered a bunch of foreign aid workers because they are getting in the way of their genocidal crusade. This is a warning to other aid workers that they are not safe, Israel will openly murder them if they don't leave, and no one is going to do anything to stop them. Yeah it makes strategic (if ghoulish) sense for Israel to get as many empathetic western eyeballs out of theatre while they get down to the ugliest part of the campaign.

They just haven't settled on a narrative long enough for anything to drown out the cognitive dissonance, but they will. This new line from the Americans about a communications breakdown between the Southern Command and COGAT is a lot better nonsense. Most peoples first reaction, even some in C-SPAM, is this had to be a accident, much easier to feed them that slop.

Bear in mind the port was not a new idea when it was announced at the SOTU, Bibi suggested the idea to Biden on October 22 (source: https://www.jpost.com/international/article-791239). The port is a long term Israel objective, it'll be one of the things they point to to show what they accomplished when it's over.

Would be nice if any of these outraged world leaders could spare a word for the hundreds of tonnes of aid diverted, the entire aid organizations exiting the theatre and the increased blocking of land aid since the attack. No aid trucks in northern Gaza since deadly strike quote:The Kuwait roundabout is almost empty of people waiting for aid trucks. Since the air strike that killed seven aid workers, the very few trucks transporting aid to northern Gaza - where residents are suffering from famine - have stopped.
