Edit: pretty much lovely Nostradamus, but exclusively propaganda about how political opponents of Republicans are all unbelievably evil.

There's a reason it's got to be pedos, because any hedging that someone does in explaining the falsehoods is hard to accept because it'll sound like apologetics for some aspect of the conspiracy. Everyone hates child molesters, it's the easiest bandwagon to appropriate and all it takes is one or two confirmed pedos in power to reinforce their bullshit. It's also a classic Nazi move, FYI.

Like Dennis Hastert, the GOP equivalent to Nancy Pelosi during the whole drat W Bush presidency. On top of being a lovely right wing grifter and authoritarian, he's a literal child molester. Convicted and everything.

Funny how Q bullshit waited until a republican president with dozens of sexual harassment complaints was elected without the popular vote. Funny how the bad guys in Q world are at least 80% comprised of Democrats or at least not-Republicans.

Q is like opt-in schizophrenia. I think the best way to dissuade someone is the preemptive info-dump, because you'd have to be either crazy or an idiot to think that somehow there's enough overlap between murderers, child molesters, human traffickers, cannibals, Satanists and other villain groups to actually make up a power clique that runs the Democratic party. It's like a lovely rant from an unmedicated homeless loon on the bus, except sourced from the internet's racist butthole forum.

Sometimes, when I bother and/or run into it, I'll ask if "if this were in a movie, a TV show or a book (and I'll mix in soap opera or "reality" show) would it seem a little over the top?

But usually I just scoff, write them off, ignore them, block, unfriend and call them morons because I just can't anymore with this.

I wonder what would happen if you actually started texting and PM'ing them, pretending to be a part of it and deep undercover wiht like a direct line to Q or something? Dug in deep, scared, full of information, "they're watching me" and having seen things no one would believe before you bounced out with "psyche! Just fuckin with ya! It's all bulllshit. Can't believe you feel for this stupidity"

I just lost my job and I swear I gotta figure out a way to get on this RW grift. A deep undercover run that gets exposed might be fun actually.

In the not too distant future, presidential and political debates will degenerate into Springer episodes where one nerdy person explains policy issues, the other calls him a commie, starts a fight and the studio audience chants "USA! USA! USA!" instead of "Jerry! Jerry!"
"USA! USA! USA!" is basically a foreign policy. Near as I can tell from the FW>FW>FW> emails.

A century from now, it'll just be a fight to the death. Remember Guilliani's "trial by combat" remark?

Semi unrelated, I went to a Pearl Jam concert in Jacksonville, FL and a group of about 5 very drunk rednecks sitting a few rows in front of us tried to get a "USA" chant going after "Even Flow" or "Jeremy" or whatever the hit was. Surprised it didn't catch, tbh, and they tried twice. It was like watching someone futilely trying to start The Wave at a football game. I think it just means "good thing good, therefore 'USA'", since the USA is good, which leads to weird poo poo like Trump dry humping a U.S. Flag and litmus tests like mandatory lapel pins for politicians or standing for the anthem. So weird.

They claim that this then puts the cisgender athletes at an unfair disadvantage. The new boogeyman/boogeywoman/boogeyperson.

Conservatives are always the last to know anything. It's right there in their self appointed label and reflected in the music they listen to and movies they watch. They want things to always be the same and always need an enemy that's trying to change things. Back in the day it was race mixing, gays, teaching evolution, draft dodgers, weed, women's rights...

They can't pick on that poo poo anymore because the vast majority of the country is fine with it and always has to DRAG these people kicking and screaming into a new decade/era. I haven't seen a "MAN PLUS WOMAN = MARRIAGE" bumper sticker in some time now but they were ubiquitous for a good while. Transgender people are the new frontier for them that upsets their Biblical apple cart, which is aided a lot by how few people fall into that category. They like to pick on the weak and the powerless. Since anything "new" is scary and always an affront to the word of God, having to adjust their pronouns in normal conversation is just a bridge too far.

Nothing has changed or can every be different from a book written and selectively read 2000 years ago that already solved everything.

The flag is fine and I don't much give a gently caress what it looks like. Just that people use it on their internet avatars, their clothes, hats, plaster it all over their cars, erect flagpoles in their yards and I just KNOW that they suck. It's a weird type of virtue signaling expressing a "love" of something they can't even really explain except that "it's good".

Like rooting for the face in a wrestling match against the Iranian/Japanese/African dude because "booooo, those guys....USA! USA! USA!" or having a loving conniption fit about wearing USA flag lapel pins.

I wish I wasn't automatically conditioned to dislike someone that is ostensibly expressing love and pride for their country but here I am. I feel the same way about people that aggressively express their religious faith and, more and more, these two things are usually intertwined. Not too wild about a theocratic dictatorship that worships a real estate salesman.

EDIT:

Also, as a graphic designer, I run into a poo poo TON of businesses that want their logo/walls/cars/flyers laid out with the U.S. flag and it's REALLY hard to make text readable when I use it since it's high contrast and very busy. But every other car repair place or AC installer is "All American" this, "Eagle" that or some brash commercial use of a symbol that is supposed to mean "freedom".

It's very hard to reverse out or overprint 8 point text on a business card that has the flag on it and make it readable and still make room for the starburst.
