Can you degenerate weebs stop talking about disgusting anime already.

Look, some of us don't have anything to bring to the table for the monthly firearm/Star Trek/LotR/tipping waitstaff derail. This is all we have.

Anyway, Attack on Titan was airing while I was teaching English in Japan and all the girls at my junior high were obsessed with this one super creepy character.

The first episode is pretty amazing, but the rest of the series is an absolute hot mess. Goddamn does the opening theme slap, though.

That doesn't sound too different from Harlequin's model. You can make money writing romance stories for them but there are rules and formulas you're meant to follow to make them all very similar to each other. They're commodities meant to be churned out.

Pretty similar to the current ebook market, too. I've ghostwritten plenty of hot trash to make a quick buck.

I guess I'll be the guy who spoils the joke today: kake and bukkake are two ways to serve udon. I think kake is in a soup and bukkake is chilled with just a light sauce?

I didn't even learn this from anime, by the way! There's a pretty good udon place near where I live with an informative menu.

"Bukkake" is as neutral as "splash" or "splatter" in Japanese. The first time I heard it in conversation was with an old dude talking about some heavy rain the night before.

Also bukkake udon is the superior udon. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Every decade since the advent of recorded music has been loaded with multitudes of diverse, interesting artists, very few of whom received generous radio airplay.

The decade during which I experienced pubescence, however, is objectively the best decade for music.

Unless you're talking specifically about Kensington or parts of Fishtown/NoLibs, in which case fentanyl is for sure the most loved thing.
