Obviously we've yet to hear the seriousness of allegations against him, but doesn't this, while seeming innocuous, show that he was prone to pushing things a bit far?

The guy’s wife died relatively young a few years ago, so who knows how he internalized and dealt with his grief. I haven’t listened to his show for a while so I dunno if he’s discussed it. I should also note that I’m talking specifically about how he met his current wife, not whatever it is he’s accused of.

In this video, we have Trump criticizing the independent judiciary, introducing and driving home the notion of “CRIMINAL ALIENS,” which obviously sounds more threatening than undocumented immigrants or even illegal immigrants, conflating DACA kids with said criminal aliens, and making it seem like the Reason why 1/5 Beautiful Americans won’t be home for Christmas is because of the hordes of Criminal Aliens running around raping and murdering while they flash their official Sanctuary City residence certificates. This is just a big, bloody hunk of red meat thrown to his base, and also, whoever did the lighting and camera work for that video should be fired.

Also to contribute to SouthChat- I really like Asheville, NC. It’s blue, hippy as all hell, and western North Carolina is one of the prettiest geographical areas in the country, at least for me. It’s tough to find good, professional jobs, though. I’ve spent some time in New Orleans and have enjoyed it, though I think Bourbon Street should be burned to the ground. The rest of the city is super cool, and the WWII museum is worth a day of your time.

To be honest, I wouldn’t wish a glioblastoma on my worst enemy. It’s a horrible cancer and a pretty bad way to die. The cancer robbed her of her ability to walk, left her blind in one eye, and the chemo drugs and steroids made her gain weight in weird ways, and she basically went from looking being a nearly olympic-quality athlete to a wheelchair-bound shadow of her former self.

I get that McCain is a shithead and his “maverick” reputation is a figment, but if I got diagnosed with a glioblastoma, I’d be performing some brain surgery on myself with 9mm JHP before it had enough time to get really bad. No loving thanks.

On a related note about billionaires doing whatever they loving please, the DEA had enough evidence to nail McKesson, the country’s biggest pharmacy company with $200 billion in annual revenue, for ignoring and abetting blatantly illegal content at some of its warehouses and distribution centers. This includes not flagging repeat huge orders of Vicodin to small-rear end pharmacies and trying to cover its tracks. In the end, the company’s lawyers settled with the DEA and DOJ for a fraction of the $1 billion fine that government lawyers had been angling for.

100k for a household really isn’t that much, but otherwise, I agree. The way I see it- taxes are the price of admission to civilization. Remember how all the conservative pundits freaked out during Obama’s “you didn’t build that” speech? Anyone with a working thinker would have interpreted that as “if you are successful, it’s because you used your individual talent to leverage the things developed by other innovators and supported by government as something that benefits everyone.” But nah, that’s socialism and bad because we’re all self-made millionaires, but some of us are just waiting for the check to clear, any day now.

If you ever want to see what us surrendering our influence looks like, take a trip through sub-Saharan Africa. Specifically, fly into the new airport in Lome, Togo, which serves as a hub for western and central Africa, or drive down a few freshly paved roads in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, or check out the new Bank of Central African States building being built in Bangui, Central African Republic. All of these things were paid for by Chinese money and built by Chinese companies. We may have a few SF teams doing SFA/FID in some places and some JSOC stuff going on in the Sahel and the Horn, but the Chinese are letting it be known they are investing big and are there to stay.

That’s the first I’ve seen it, thanks for sharing it. Yeah, the Sahel and the Lake Chad Basin are such a mess, and the attendant issues drag in every neighboring country as well. In CAR, it’s very lucrative to be a warlord or bandit gang leader- one guy whose militia controls one of the traditional Peuhl grazing routes makes $500 million USD a year in extortion and “taxes” from the pastoralist tribes who use those roads.
