Just got my platinum for Goose Game. What a fun little adventure. I took a picture of me wearing the crown.

I also got several of my students to get the game themselves after I showed them the game as well. Even my wife wanted to try it out.

I don't know if I should feel pride or shame for getting the Platinum for Night Trap. I got it last year, gave up after sucking hard on survivor mode. Went back to it this weekend to try and get away from the lovely news cycle (good camp.) And all of a sudden it just clicked. Survivor mode is still rral dumb though, it gets easier the longer you go.

Same, moved to a country with single payer and won't move back to the USA until they have it.

They release the Yakuza games early here but in Japanese or Chinese only, and never release the English version. So I walk by a game store and get sad, because I need to use my US PSN account to buy them.

I just read a Japanese article about an incident back in the PS3 days where a bad JoJo fighting game got a 40 in Famitsu and people always thought the review was bought. The president of the developer responded by saying "why would we buy a Famitsu review? There's no evidence it influences sales" and I was like lol.

For all the problems game reviews have in the West, at least they influence the industry enough for developers to try to buy them.

Oh man, if you were big into console wars in the early 2000s, the perfect score for Nintendogs was like a bomb going off.

I really disliked Trico up until the last...10 percent of the game? I think that bad controls were supposed to be the point but man it was lame.

I teared up when telling it to fly away though

I picked up a PSVR last week and have been having alot of fun with Iron Man, even if I can only play for about an hour with that before I get a headache (which I haven't really gotten with anything else.) Rez VR is also on sale so I picked that up. Outside of the big hitters (Beat Saber, Astro) are there any other big heavy hitters that people here would recommend?

Long story short I am gonna redownload 2064: ROM and the Uncharted Collection and give them both a fair chance this time

Sometimes, but there is usually more time in your life to get to it eventually. Or just post in one of those "I'll finish my game backlog this year or banme" topics that show up around this time.

Speaking of backlog, after trying off again an on again for about a year, I finally got the Platinum for Parappa the Rapper. Getting a cool rating on Cheap Cheap chicken was so drat hard because the game is a broken mess.

I noticed that too after I platinumed the game. Impressive.

I'm near the end of Bloodborne (just need to get through the final chalice dungeons to kill the queen, and then the endings) and it says 6% of people have platinumed it. I consider that more impressive. Wasn't TLOU2 also very high on the platinum percentage? I remember several articles 6 months back or so.

I'm finally getting around to beating Cuphead after sitting on it for a few months too, once I got to Inkwell Isle III. I loving hated the queen bee boss so much. Usually the bosses there are still fun to play to try and figure out the best way to beat them, but that one...just loving sucked and I hated it.

Finished or Platinumed? I thought it just had a high rate of finishing, rather than getting the platinum trophy. How many people have actually beaten...i don't know what you'd consider the final boss? Murgo's Wetnurse? Ghorman? The Moon Presence?

Though this makes me wonder, how many games have a easy plat? LIke GoT I had all but like 4 by the time I finished the main story and it took about a half hour to get those last trophies. Spider-Man took a bit longer because I had to finish the challenges and find all the hidden photos.

I guess I got confused about that, because for some games the last trophy you get would be the Platinum depending on what did before.

And there is a whole industry of games which seems to be designed to sell for 2 bucks and give someone a platinum for e-cred. You look at people who have the most trophies they'll have 6 different versions of the same game, each from a different region for each trophy list they could do in 15 minutes.

I mean I always had and probably always will have more games than any dozen humans could play in a single lifetime so I dunno. Piracy scratched the depression-itch of want-something-new but couldn't do anything about the short attention span, and gave me no incentive to. Maybe that's why I love the movie Rampage so much. Gosh darn it I paid my money. I'm gonna see ALL the movie.

I know they're a small studio but gently caress, didn't anyone test this before sending it out? Or run a small alpha or beta to make sure it ran properly on more than 1 machine?

You can't get the Platinum in the game now based off of the bugs.

I really, really want to play again, but I also want to wait until the patch comes through.
