He gets a lot of poo poo because of that photo but it was for a TFR thread that has been lost the the ages that was actually really funny. He'd just gotten a TEC-22, and I asked him for action shots with poor trigger discipline and got those underpants photos.

Xun posted:I feel like at least Sweden is more friendly than some parts of the US? In Texas you can get charged for possession. In Sweden possession is fine but it’s the dealers that get in trouble. Maybe the Texas is just highly hostile though lol What the gently caress are you talking about? Sweden is super draconian about weed. Cops will go into a trance concert and round up a bunch of random people, drug test them, and prosecute the ones who piss hot for misdemeanor possession of narcotics. Possession of weed is super super not fine, and, furthermore, most Swedes support this level of criminalization.

Or having to take a stop at Den Bosch only to find yourself at 's-Hertogenbosch. No, the way they gently caress with tourists is, only the rail ticket machines at the airport and in Amsterdam accept foreign credit or debit cards. So good luck taking the train back from Groningen on a Sunday afternoon when the manned ticket counter is closed!

Cyrano4747 posted:I once had a dude admit to a war crime. We had an honest-to-God Rwandan war criminal in one of my environmental engineering classes here in Sweden. Most days he'd come early to the lecture hall and carefully lay his things out across three or four desks in the front row. We were always on edge when he'd raise his hand to comment, since it'd end up being a rambling story from Burundi (where said he was from) about cancer/HIV cures or a lake which went down to the center of the earth. A few years later we found out he'd been identified as a war criminal and, since he'd been naturalized a Swedish citizen in the mean time, he was tried for genocide in a Swedish district court. It was... a new perspective on the Rwandan Civil War...

Hel posted:Film ratings can be a bit diverse, as evidenced by the time in 2010, when the old swedish film rating board decided that a bunch of full on porn movies were suitable for 15 years olds. Their mandate was only to assess films for their appropriateness for under-15's, and they couldn't issue age limitation recommendations higher than 15.

I have no trouble whatsoever to see Magic Eyes, and never have. Then, a few years ago, I was a participant in an ophthalmology research study in exchange for new lenses, and they told me that I pretty much always see double, but don't notice because my brain is used to it. They thought that might be related.

Drone_Fragger posted:Yeah IPAs are around a lot now because any second tier brewery can take the cheapest pale malt they can buy and chuck far too many hops in and call it a craft beer. Real beer styles like pales, milds, stouts, porters, etc, require actually understanding how to make beers nice with descent balance of flavours and how to brew them. Now any beer that has the word "ale" in its name has to be treated with suspicion, because the American IPA fad means every new one just assumed it meant you should hop it till it tastes like dish soap.
