The Vosgian Beast posted:Hey so I watched the Foodfight review Phelous, Lupa, and Brad did, and have decided Phelous's sense of humor is something I want more of in my life. What are some good reviews to check out? The thing about Phelous is his humor has a lot of self-referential stuff in it, so if you don't watch him from the beginning you won't get absolutely every joke, but that isn't all there is. I'm a big fan of all of his low-budget cartoon reviews, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde http://blip.tv/phelous/dr-jekyll-and-mr-hyde-6611996 Aladdin and the Adventure of All Time http://blip.tv/phelous/aladdin-and-the-adventure-of-all-time-6646347 the other Aladdin animated movie http://blip.tv/phelous/aladdin-6223537 He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special http://blip.tv/phelous/he-man-and-she-ra-christmas-special-6713584 He's done a lot more of these lately that are pretty good. Some of my favorite reviews of live action horror movies, Amityville 4, probably my favorite, has the most laugh out loud moments http://blip.tv/phelous/amityville-4-the-lamp-escapes-6130640 His reviews of Ulli Lommel's comically inept Boogeyman series (He went on a kick where he reviewed like 7 movies called Boogeyman in a row) http://blip.tv/phelous/the-boogeyman-5389086 http://blip.tv/phelous/boogeyman-ii-1983-5413633 http://blip.tv/phelous/return-of-the-boogeyman-5435289 The Time Machine that I found at a Yard Sale (Collab with Lupa) http://blip.tv/phelous/the-time-machine-i-found-at-a-yard-sale-part-1-6696699 Swamp Zombies! http://blip.tv/phelous/swamp-zombies-5302277

BigRed0427 posted:What's your guys opinion of Keanu Reeves as an action star in general? He's not a BIG star any more but he still gets work, plus John Wick was REALLY good. And gently caress it, I love Constantine. I thought he did a good job in it. I actually liked the Constantine movie too, but it had nothing to do with Keanu Reeves' performance, I thought he was the worst part of the movie. He's a baffling choice to play the foul-mouthed, snarking Constantine, since Reeves acting style is stone-faced confusion most of the time. To be honest, I think the only reason I like the movie is the scenes with Tilda Swinton playing Gabriel and Peter Stomare playing Satan. The opening scene with Constantine exorcising the demon with a mirror was pretty cool too, and I liked the Hell scenes.

I always saw the Law/Chaos spectrum as not necessarily literally following laws but having an ordered way of looking at the world. A Lawful character believes in systems and codes of conduct. I don't think a Lawful Good character would be bound to uphold the laws of a Lawful Evil society. Even if this wasn't the intent of D&D's creators, I think it works better in actual practice.

Heroic Yoshimitsu posted:SMT series? Order isn't really good in SMT though. Both sides are awful, with Order really being more like stasis, were nothing changes and there is no free will, and Chaos is complete anarchy where the strong always rule over the weak and there is no authority to protect those who can't protect themselves. The only "good" path in SMT is neutrality.

It's one of those moments that there's other similar moment on a different show that's strange to see it done twice in 2 different contexts. That's also a fantastic musical moment. I guess there are so many in Cowboy Bebop it's hard to fit them all on to a top ten.

I've endured enough Star Wars prequels discussions to know about the former, but the later is a new one for me. I didn't know Goons had a thing for/against House of Leaves.

As others have said, the actual quality of the criticism or humor or whatever doesn't matter, transformative use in this sense is covered under fair use. Also, you've been provided with multiple instances where YouTube's content ID system has been used to just outright steal the ad revenue of others where the claimant had no rights to the claimed material or where one's own work was somehow claimed under content ID. You're not arguing in good faith. I've never used SA's ignore function before, but there's a first time for everything, Christ.
