The OP is good for someone who already knows/plays WMH and looks for another faction, it's a bit unreadable at times for new people. What's an electro-leap and why is it important? Is Stormclad a unit, a buff or what? What's so awesome about Geomancy, is there anything or did you only point out a separate magic path?

Also, your Cryx description is lacking. :colbert:

Do you know any awesomely converted Warmachine armies, like scratchbuilt finely detailed warjacks, stuff like that (post links/pics)? The game seems interesting, but I'm turned off by the way stock warjacks look and I'm wondering how much can be done with that.

I hate the aesthetics, not the kits. I have yet to see a Colossus(sp?) I'd like the look of.

Have you tried looking at Hordes instead of Warmachine? I ask because I had the exact same issue when I got into the game years back (this was before Retribution came out; I'm one of the freaks that actually likes the aesthetics of myrmidons). Over time, the other factions' warjacks have grown on me, but I still feel that the warbeasts have more impressive scuplts.
Yes and Hordes does have much better beasts, but I'm still hoping for a squad of giant steam-powered magic mechs :)

Welp, it seems PP's figured me out.

Let's see:
WHFB: Undead. Infinity: Nomads/CA. Malifaux: Ramos/Colette. And now Cyriss in WM. Why yes, I do prefer my armies mechanical. Organics are for command only. And the Art-Deco is just a cherry on top.

Welp, and I wanted to start CoC. It's not like I WANT ALL THE MODELS NOW or something, but I'm concerned about the possibility of them being a "secondary" faction, like the White Dwarf codexes of GW. Yes, I know that PP has much more common sense, but once burned, twice shy. Or something.

The more important question is, Cyriss apparently being the synergy-oriented faction, is starting with them viable (I know next to nothing about WMH, but I like their aesthetics far beyond everything else), or am I setting myself up for slamming face-first at full speed into the learning curve?
